Wang's hostel

Walking in, the place felt really comfortable. But when I got ready for bed and pulled back the covers, I found a lot of hair and the bed looked a bit dirty. I patted it off and slept on the covers anyway.

The only real hassle was finding the place in an alley, and you do have to keep your voices down. The soundproofing inside was actually pretty good, though. Beyond that, we had nothing to complain about and would definitely come back. It worked especially well for our group of friends. The decor made the whole place feel comfortable, and the first-floor living room had loads of cozy seats, board games, plus a TV with Netflix and YouTube. There was a fridge in the kitchen, free coffee, tea and instant noodles, and trash cans everywhere. The rooms on the second and third floors each had AC and a dehumidifier, with a toilet on every floor. The facilities felt clean and new, and the price was very reasonable. The big living room is right there when you walk in. It's a great spot for a group of friends to hang out, watch movies, play board games, or stay up talking. The owner leaves local Tainan specialties on the table, and with the affordable price, the value is hard to beat. I'll come back next time I'm in Tainan.

Parking was pretty manageable. We used the "Kelaiting" parking lot from 10 PM until a little after 8 AM and paid NT$140 on a holiday. It didn't have many spaces, but there was plenty of street parking around too. Wang's B&B was spotless, and the whole place smelled lovely. Every room had an air purifier and a hair dryer, which was great for anyone who takes ages to dry their hair 🤣. The owner stocked plenty of snacks, instant noodles and tea, and even had a coffee machine for fresh coffee. Staff were quick to respond whenever we had a question. I couldn't find anything to complain about, and I'd choose Wang's B&B again when I visit Tainan.
