Beauty Hotels Taipei Hotel B7 Journey

The location was excellent, just a ten-minute walk from Taipei Main Station. We stayed two nights, three days, and found the rooms so tiny there was no room to open our suitcases. Housekeeping mostly made the beds and swept, and didn’t empty our bins. Breakfast was at Louisa Coffee across the road, with eight menu choices. Black tea was free, while the other drinks cost extra. It was a comfortable enough stay, and you get what you pay for.

I really enjoyed staying here, especially for how central it is. Taipei Main Station, Ximending, Liberty Square, and other spots are all about 10-15 minutes away on foot, with plenty of places to eat nearby. Check-in and checkout were smooth with the self-service system. My Deluxe Double Room was clean and well kept, with a very big bed. There was even a Japanese-style smart toilet, which was a nice surprise. The room was tidied daily and two bottles of water went into the fridge each day. There aren’t many shared or social facilities, but I didn’t miss them while I was out exploring. The room was comfortable too, and I’d recommend the hotel.

The rooms are small but neat, and the location is great for a budget hotel, near night markets and convenience stores. Breakfast is offered through coupons, and the accommodating staff let us check out an hour later for free.

The bed was comfortable, the bathroom decent, and the location really good. Those are why I’m giving it two stars instead of one. The noise was awful, I could hear everything from the hallway and all the rooms around me. Checking in was a nightmare. There were no clear directions for paying, and eventually someone came down to the lobby reluctantly to take my payment. I wasn’t the only one stuck, there was a line of other guests behind me who also needed help. After travelling for hours, spending half an hour just to check in was the last thing I wanted. I wouldn’t recommend the breakfast either. It costs too much for a coupon to eat across the street at a cafe, where the meal should cost about half as much.
