The location is excellent, the room is a decent size, and laundry is convenient. Line customer service replies on time, and when staff are there, they do their best to help. But the noise was the biggest problem. Soundproofing is basically nonexistent. The hotel is in a commercial building with other businesses on different floors, and staff admitted the soundproofing is very poor. They suggested I book somewhere else next time. During my five-night stay, I had to knock on neighboring doors almost every night to ask people to keep it down. Most guests were nice and didn't realize I could hear normal talking and TV volume clearly. I could even tell where some were from by their accents, like Malaysia or the US. I hadn't seen other reviews explain how much noise comes from neighboring guests. Unless you fall asleep very quickly and don't mind noise, or just need one quick night before taking the MRT to Taoyuan airport, I wouldn't recommend this hotel. I think many positive reviews either don't mind noise or stay up very late. If you sleep on a normal schedule, think twice before booking.

It was quiet, clean, and comfortable, with a perfect location. The hotel seems recently renovated, and the room doors have soundproofing material. This is my favorite hotel in Taipei so far. I don't know what all the negative reviews are about.

The showers have strong pressure and get properly hot, and the curtains block out the light well, so I slept comfortably. The rooms are a little small, but the location near transit is ideal for the price. The staff are kind, and check-in and checkout are easy.

The room was modern and clean, and the location close to the MRT made getting around convenient. For the room and location, it was very good value. There’s one elevator up to the hotel floor, where a lobby opens onto all the rooms. The bathroom water pump made some noise, though it wasn’t a big problem. The bed was so comfortable I could hardly get up. I imagine that’s what sleeping on a cloud feels like.

The subway is right nearby, which is convenient, but I found cockroaches in the bathroom. I had to message them to ask for housekeeping, and they didn’t even make the beds. If fresh sheets and towels and roaches aren’t a concern for you, the location may still work.
