Caesar Park Hotel Taipei

I’d seen some negative reviews of Caesar Park Taipei before my visit, but my best friend said the location and service made up for its dated feel. I agree, and had a very pleasant stay. I was in a Superior Twin Room on the 20th floor. Ms. Ling greeted us with a warm smile and showed us to the room herself. Her English was limited, but she was attentive and did her best to help. Since the refrigerator had just been replaced, she checked that it worked. The next day, she cleaned our room while we were out having breakfast, and did a great job very quickly. We had a nice view over part of the main station. The hotel provided an electric kettle, and there was a hallway water dispenser for refilling the provided water container. They also supplied green tea, black tea, coffee, slippers and comfortable yukata-style robes. Shampoo, body wash and hand soap were included, but no conditioner, so you might want to bring your own.

The best part of staying at Caesar Park Taipei came after checkout. A few days later I realized I’d left something important behind, so I called. Reception quickly confirmed it had been found, and the handoff between housekeeping and guest services was easy. They even arranged to send it overseas to us without any trouble. We’d only booked here because our usual hotel was full, but we were glad we did. The building is a bit old, though the service was great, the location was convenient, and direct access to the underground station area was especially useful with older family members.

The room and location were as expected, and I had a good stay for four days in those respects. The problem was the first-floor coffee shop. On two separate mornings, the staff member (Yao Di Yan) was abrupt and dismissive. The minimum charge was enforced without a clear explanation, seating was restricted without a reasonable alternative, and even a basic question about milk got an unprofessional response. I realize the café may be run by a third party, but it operates inside the hotel and affects the guest experience. The rooms were solid, but that ground-floor service was below what I expected from a property of this level.

The main reason to choose Caesar Park Taipei is its downtown location. Taipei Main Station is just across the street, and a basement mini-mall under the hotel has several restaurants and direct access to an MRT station. Shops, street vendors, restaurants, and other transit are all close by. For my three nights in February 2026, that convenience did a lot of the heavy lifting. My room was clean and reasonably spacious, but it felt worn and poorly maintained. The walls were bare, the view was poor, the twin beds were small, and the bathroom sink sat very low. There were no tissues in the bathroom or slippers. The hotel has two entrances, both with several steps and no ramp, so luggage has to be lifted. A doorman at the main entrance was willing to help. Also, missing or damaged keycards incur a charge, so remember to return yours at checkout. There was usually an English-speaking front desk employee, and service was generally fine, but they gave me incorrect information about my tour group, which had arranged my stay. The gym was average. I couldn’t find a pool despite checking the floors. The rooftop garden has some nice views, though it can be cold and windy, and Caesar Spa offers paid services. The lobby has a striking wooden sculpture, modern metal sculptures on the ground and guest floors, and a photo setup with two yellow chairs against a leafy background. There’s a small drink bar downstairs, plus the Checkers Buffet and Dynasty sit-down restaurant on upper floors. I ate at Checkers for breakfast three times because it was included in my tour package. There were plenty of food stations, but the meal was average. I liked the chicken nuggets and, on alternate days, hash browns, as well as the double-sided fried eggs. The corn was average, the orange juice too sweet, the watermelon, oranges, and starfruit bland, and I didn’t care for the scrambled eggs or bacon. So the rooms, service, and food are all passable. Mostly, you’re paying for the location.
