Cho Hotel

The location near Ximending is handy, with the metro about a five minute walk away and the night market and rainbow area close by. It’s a good value option for solo travelers, friends, families, or groups, and the place has facilities for people with disabilities. The staff are friendly and helpful, and reception is open 24 hours a day. There’s also a free snack bar available around the clock for guests, with unlimited snacks. First timers get a simple, cute welcome kit, too. Rooms are clean and decent, though space for large luggage depends on how much you bring and the size of your bags. You can ask reception for things like toiletries, slippers, or a luggage rack. The central AC matters in summer, and the shower and toilet are decent. Prices are mid range, neither especially cheap nor expensive, depending on the season.

The complimentary snacks were a lovely extra. We especially liked the free noodles, taking some along on tours and having them with milk powder for merienda or late night snacks. It made things feel cozy and convenient. From the moment we arrived, Cho Hotel felt welcoming and homey. The rooms were spacious, clean, and comfortable, with what we needed to unwind after exploring. Ted was especially welcoming and went out of his way to help us. That genuine hospitality made the stay even better. The whole atmosphere was warm and inviting, and I’d recommend the hotel to someone looking for a peaceful stay and good service.

The room was nice, and the shower spray was just right. The height adjusts for kids, so mine could shower by themselves. The concierge was helpful, and the building smelled fresh and pleasant as soon as we walked in. New members even get a freebie. I visit Taiwan twice a year and have stayed in quite a few hotels. This one is the most unique. It’s friendly, clean, and has a very nice interior. The mini bar is anything but mini, with unlimited flavoured biscuits, ice cream, jelly, drinks, and all kinds of instant noodles. There’s more on level 2 than snacks: a kids’ play corner and a place to sit and have a drink or coffee. I liked having my morning coffee there, and my kids loved level 2. 😆 Lovely hotel.

The pantry has plenty of complimentary snacks, drinks, and noodles, and I enjoyed helping myself to juices and sandwiches from the fridges. The service was excellent. It’s also well placed for getting to the train and going for a walk at night, though the stores were usually closed by 9 pm.
