I thought I was booking a business hotel, but this wasn’t a hotel in the usual sense. There was no front desk, and I only got into my room because a kind Taiwanese person happened to be there. The room itself was awful. I wish I’d paid a little extra to stay somewhere else.

Good value for the money, though it’s more like a guesthouse, weekly apartment, or boarding house than a hotel. There are no signs on the street or floors, and you have to call the manager for the door code, so you’ll need at least some English. Probably suits experienced travelers best.

I couldn’t figure out where to book a room or which floor the reception was on. I didn’t see anyone around, so I ended up looking for another guesthouse.
