The location near Zhongshan Elementary School MRT Station was good, but the room had a few problems. It wasn’t soundproof, and the cleaners hadn’t checked thoroughly: there was a mask beside the TV shelf, not very noticeable, but they should have spotted and removed it. The TV was an old model, and even at full volume it could be hard to hear from bed.

The staff were nice, and when I asked for a cover sheet, room service brought one. That helped because the blankets were extremely thin and made of itchy material, so I slept badly. I also saw cockroaches, and the building is outdated. Be prepared for the condition of the room and its facilities.

The noise was the main problem. I could hear footsteps overhead and plastic bags rustling next door, even with a white noise machine. Housekeeping was quite loud early in the morning, too. There was only one quilt on the bed, and feathers poked through it, feeling sharp and prickly.

We spent 5D4N here. The location was great, especially for getting to delicious local street food, and the front office staff were very helpful. I was too tired to take any photos of the room.

Our Superior Quadruple Room was spacious, and it had a Japanese-style toilet. The place felt a little old, but the price made it acceptable. There’s no washing machine, though there are plenty of convenience stores and restaurants nearby, which was handy.
