Hotel Double One Beitou

We felt relaxed, chilled, and happy during our stay, especially with that lovely view from our room on the 3rd floor. The bed warmer was electronic and adjustable, which helped us sleep well even with the cold coming through the window. Housekeeping came every day, bringing fresh towels and tissue and cleaning the bathroom. The view was beautiful, and Beitou Thermal Valley and Beitou Museum were both less than a 15-minute walk away. Ms Amy welcomed us with a warm smile and spoke English fluently. She was attentive, advised us where we could order food since convenience stores were quite a walk away, and 711 was less than a 15-minute walk. She also arranged for us to have breakfast in our room, then updated us on the restaurant breakfast times on the second day. The drop-off car took us to xinbeitou metro station very quickly when we checked out. We booked a loveroom suite with a hotspring tub, but its discolored tiles could use a deep cleaning. They don't provide toothbrushes, slippers, or shaving kits, so bring your own. The stay was lovely overall, and I’d recommend the hotel with a little improvement. Thank you, Ms. Amy.

The complimentary breakfast was buffet style, and the kitchen staff member was helpful and responsive. We also had an internet outage and A/C problems during the stay. The room A/C took a couple of hours to fix after Manager Lin and Macy quickly put in a request and called maintenance. When the dining area got warm because its A/C wasn't working, Manager Lin and Macy brought in fans to help. They were superb, professional, and very accommodating. I’d return because Macy and Manager Lin were 10/10.

The free on-demand shuttle to the MRT made getting around convenient, and local sites were also within walking distance. Our room was comfortable, and we got one with an onsen in the room. Staff were friendly and breakfast was great. Really lovely hotel, recommended!

The staff were proactive and professional, but I wouldn't stay here again. Our corner love suite had two odd fire doors left over from before a renovation, I guess because they had to be there. The onsen tub was rundown and grimy, and there was an old stain in the sink. It needs serious cleaning, or just re-tile the tub. The facilities felt really old and need much better maintenance or a major interior renovation. The hotel is rated four stars everywhere and the online photos look pretty, but it wasn't much cheaper than the big dogs in the area.
