Flip Flop Hostel - Main Station

For my first hostel stay, this was about as good as it gets. My room was small, but it was all mine, with its own AC and a sturdy bed. The staff were great, and the place was clean and well located. There are lots of brochures and events to help you figure out what to see in Taipei, plus it’s an easygoing place to meet other travelers. Just don’t expect the Ritz.

The ground floor has a really cozy vibe and makes a great place to hang out. I booked a shared room for two nights with five other people, and felt safe even though we were strangers sharing the space. Everyone gets their own safety deposit box. I’d definitely stay here again.

The dorm bed was spacious enough and came with curtains. In the shower area there’s free body wash and shampoo, plus a bag for your things. The rooms, bathrooms, and common area were all clean, and the staff were friendly and communicated well. The location is especially handy, just behind Taipei Bus Station and a five minute walk from the nearest Taipei Main Station exit.

It’s easy to meet other travelers here, and the environment feels safe. The staff were very helpful, and they have directions for getting to a bunch of things to do and places to visit around Taipei. The place was very clean, with AC, and the location is convenient, right across from Taipei Main Station. There’s also a coffee machine, microwave, toaster, and other useful appliances.
