Gloria Residence

My room had a washing machine, iron, electric stove, oven, fridge-freezer, kettle, and a TV that rotates so you can watch from the sofa or bed. It was a very comfortable stay. The hotel was nice and clean, and the staff were super friendly and helpful. I'd highly recommend it, especially for the indoor heated swimming pool.

The staff made us feel welcome from the start. They upgraded us to an Oasys room at check-in because our original room type wasn't available, which was a lovely surprise. The room was spacious, nicely designed, and much larger than most hotel rooms we've stayed in. Even the smallest rooms are generous. We also enjoyed the complimentary lounge snacks and drinks, and got a lovely souvenir at checkout. Gloria Residence is a little way from the nearest MRT station, but that wasn't a problem for us. There are plenty of buses nearby and several convenience stores within walking distance, so getting around and finding what we needed was easy. We had a great experience and would gladly stay again. Highly recommend it for a comfortable, classy, welcoming stay in Taipei.

We stayed at Gloria Residence for an extended work trip and really liked it. We'd recommend it to friends or family looking for a Taipei hotel or temporary home, especially if a kitchenette matters. Our two-bedroom unit was extremely spacious by city hotel standards, and the kitchen and laundry were essential for a longer stay. The staff were consistently warm and accommodating, with service on par with the best hotels I've stayed at. They were patient with me and my young boys. Tina and Herry went out of their way to make us feel welcome, and I'll miss them. On Saturdays, a young man also helped us get from the taxi to our room while my wife and I each carried a sleeping toddler. Thank you to him too. Linsen N. Road is traditionally Taipei's red light district. The food choices and nearby parks often made up for that, though just try not to stare too much if you're walking around at 11 pm. The nearest MRT stations, Shuanglian or Zhongshan Elementary, are about an eight-minute fast walk, farther than we'd like. We needed easy access to the blue line, and only one regular bus goes that way, which was inconvenient. A couple of other things we appreciated: taxis can pull into a covered carport for drop-off and pickup, which is great in bad weather. The basement level was really nice while it was open, but it closed for renovation in the latter half of our trip.

We stayed in room 501 for almost two months. It was an excellent place and kept very clean. Tina's hospitality was especially good. The one thing I'd change is the TV, which was very old. A smart TV is a must.
