I’d gladly stay here again on my next trip. The Xinyi shopping district is easy to explore on foot, and the room stayed quiet, with air conditioning I could adjust so it didn’t get too cold at night. Housekeeping kept everything tidy during my stay. There was a slight musty smell in my first room that made me cough a little, but guest services moved me quickly and the next room was fine. When I arrived, the ground floor staff were polite and helped me with the elevator.

I liked having plenty of room at the L-shaped desk, where I could work and look out over the city. Breakfast was solid, and the hotel felt convenient and well kept. It’s right in the Taipei 101 area, with malls and attractions just steps away. The room and bathroom were clean and fairly spacious for Taipei, and the service was professional and welcoming. One small inconvenience: Uber pickup is at the bell boy/valet drop-off area on the base level, rather than on the lobby floor. Apart from that, things went smoothly. It’s a good option for a Taipei business or leisure stay.

The rooms, especially on the higher floors, are spacious and have great views. I was upgraded for one night, which was a nice gesture, and room service had a solid selection. I didn’t eat at the restaurants, though they looked promising. The staff were professional and courteous. Xinyi is the big draw here, with shopping, dining, and nightlife just steps away. Having stayed at plenty of Taipei hotels, though, I think there are better choices for the price if you care about service and amenities. Basic items like toothbrushes, eye masks, face masks, and earplugs aren’t complimentary, although other city hotels usually provide them. Checkout is strict at 12 PM, with a late fee if you miss the deadline, while many competitors allow at least an hour’s grace. I have status with both Marriott and Hilton, but my Hilton perks felt almost meaningless here. I’d only return if I really needed to stay in Xinyi.

The bed and pillows were comfortable, and the room was quiet. Breakfast was pretty ordinary with limited choices, but the noodle counter was tasty. I stayed separately on Sunday and Friday for a business trip. The receptionist remembered me and upgraded my room on the second night. The concierge also remembered that I’d be leaving for another city during the week. Such a sweet touch, and the welcome and service felt warm.
