Gorgeous Hot Spring Resort

The hot spring bath was lovely, and I really liked the room. Room service was great too. Getting up the stairs and hill is a workout, but worth it.

My room was clean, spacious, and had body wash and shampoo in the bathroom. There's also a bath for soaking. The staff were very nice, and although there isn't an elevator, they carried my luggage up. Check-in isn't until 4-5pm, but you can leave your bags there. A shuttle runs from the metro station, though it doesn't operate for a few afternoon hours. The location is convenient for the bus stop and about a 15-minute walk from Xinbeitou station. It's hilly, but I managed with my luggage. Sleep was the problem. The walls are paper-thin, and I could clearly hear conversations, plus constant clicking as people switched their lights on and off. My room was next to a family, so I heard clicking, stomping, and children yelling at all hours. It was okay for one night on my own. If I return to Beitou, I'd consider somewhere else for better sleep and less disruption.

The location is handy for the main attraction and close to Kahu Cafe, where the food is great. Breakfast in the morning was underwhelming, and there weren't many staff around at checkout.

We were upgraded to a larger room, which had plenty of space and was really clean. The private hot spring tub was fantastic, and the staff were kind and accommodating. The shuttle to and from the MRT stations, Beitou and Xinbeitou, was useful too. Wish we'd stayed a couple more nights!
