Guest Hotel

The staff were nice, but the place was filthy. The carpets had large stains, the rooms smelled really bad, and there was mold under my mattress. I don’t know how this place gets any stars. Keep in mind, rooms can be rented by the hour.

I booked because Trip.com said there was parking, but there wasn’t, so I had to park seven minutes away. The Wi-Fi also didn’t work, and the front desk couldn’t say when it would be fixed. As a traveler who relies on free Wi-Fi, I was really disappointed. When I entered, there was a bunch of other people’s hair on the floor beside the bed. I asked housekeeping to clean it before bringing in my luggage, but half an hour later there was even more hair, so I asked again. The housekeeper used a dry bath towel to pick it up. Does this hotel ever use a mop or lint roller? A dry towel won’t pick up a strand of hair. Then I found bugs on the toilet paper roll and realized they weren’t visible to the naked eye. I was so glad I’d been cautious. Don’t stay here unless you want to feel itchy all night. Save yourself the trouble and sleep somewhere else.

The toilet light was so dim I could barely see my own face. I also didn’t like being given a room with a foldable mattress. After sleeping on it, I had backache for days.

A handy budget hotel if you need to be near JingMei MRT station (Jingmei MRT Station) on Taipei’s green line. The entrance to the station is literally just a few steps away, and there’s a small night market nearby.
