Hotel 6 - Ximen

The family room was spacious, with two queen beds, and they provide free drinking water and daily housekeeping. Check-in and checkout were quick. Bring a portable bidet or tabo, iykyk. We arrived at 3am and were surprised there was no reception in the lobby. I hadn't seen a review mentioning that. If you're checking in late, around 2-3am, take the elevator to the fifth floor. That's where the reception is.

A good place if you're mainly using the hotel to sleep. The staff were so friendly and accommodating. Reception is on the fifth floor, where there's free coffee, and they changed our towels and slippers every day.

Our group of four had enough room, with comfortable beds and useful amenities. The staff were friendly and spoke excellent English, and each day housekeeping cleaned the room and refilled our water bottles. The bathroom could use attention, since the floor got slippery even when we tried to be careful. A mat or other non-slip measure might help. The location made getting around easy, with MRT Ximen station close by and Ximending Night Market right outside for plenty of food choices. Hotel 6-Ximen was a convenient, comfortable place to stay in Taipei, and we'd consider coming back.

The window was a nice feature for my child, who enjoyed watching the vehicles outside. The room had no proper cabinet, just a rack and hangers, and cleanliness needs work. We saw mold in the bathroom and along the window seal, plus dust in the window corners. That may have contributed to us catching a cold. There was also no bidet or tabo, something we personally need when choosing a place to stay. Hotel 6 Ximending was decent overall, and its location made exploring Taipei easy. It sits in the heart of Ximending, just a two-minute walk from Ximen Station. Better cleaning and some basic bathroom amenities would make it a great place to stay.
