Hotel Relax I

Johnny at the front desk was a highlight. Since our seven-person group arrived on different days, he helped arrange rooms next to each other, and I enjoyed talking with him throughout the stay. I picked the hotel for its fair price and its location near Taipei Main Station's Z4 exit with an elevator and K12 exit with an escalator, an area I already know. The rooms surprised me in a good way. Four of us stayed in the family room and could all open our suitcases at once. The lobby and reception felt quite dark, but the rooms were cozy and well lit, with plenty of space and spacious bathrooms. The entrance, like those of many hotels near Taipei Main Station, wasn't much to look at. The Japanese bidet was a big plus, and we all slept comfortably without hearing noise. It was almost too quiet for me, so I used earbuds to sleep. The place was clean, and you can ask to have the trash taken out and towels changed each day.

The location made getting around easy, with MRT stations and underground passages close by. There's a convenience store opposite, a makeup shop next door, and McDonald's just a few minutes away. The rooms felt small for me with all my luggage and family, though I think they'd suit one or two people well. Service was good: we could have Uber Eats delivered to the lobby, and the cleaners did a great job. 🙂🙂

We've stayed here twice and plan to come back on our next Taipei trip. There are room options for families and couples, and ours was spacious and tidy. The location is good, away from the busy main road, with 7-11, Family mart and Hi-life downstairs. On this second visit, we lost a phone on the bus back to the hotel. The lobby staff kindly called the bus company and followed up, though I didn't get her name to thank her. Jeff later got back to us quickly with details about the phone, where to pick it up, and the opening hours. We're grateful to the hotel team and to the driver and staff at the bus company who helped. We've lost things before and managed to get them back in Taiwan. Taiwanese people are just GOOD!

Johnny was friendly, accommodating, and quick to answer my questions, and check-in and check-out went smoothly. At Hotel Relax 2, my room was clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully laid out with what I needed for a relaxing stay. The location made it easy to get around Taipei, with the MRT, convenience stores, and plenty of places to eat nearby. I also loved the free coffee and 24-hour reception.
