The rooms are comfortable and roomy, though they feel old. The location is convenient and the prices are affordable. They offer a welcome pack, like soap and a toothbrush, in exchange for a Google review, which could push ratings up a little.

The room for three had a nice balcony and a table where we could sit and take in the view. There was a big bathtub with a separate shower, mirrors and drawers all over, plus lots of storage, a wardrobe, TV, desk, and large sofa. The lobby is nice, and the cleaning and breakfast staff were friendly and helpful. What brought my rating down was the reception team. They weren't friendly, barely looked at us while talking, and never smiled. Most couldn't understand English either. The one exception I remember was an older gentleman, probably the manager, who greeted me in the lobby when I went out late, around 11 pm. It's a shame that at a 4-star hotel the cleaning and breakfast workers treated guests more warmly than the receptionists.

Outside noise carries right into the room, and the building and facilities feel old. Breakfast choices were very limited. It didn't feel great, more like a 3-star quality hotel.

The location is hard to beat, with the yellow line MRT very close and the red line walkable. There are plenty of places to eat nearby. We had a triple room, and it felt far more spacious than the other Taipei options we looked at. Having a balcony was nice too. The view wasn't anything special, but still pleasant.
