The owner was nice and helpful, but I probably wouldn’t stay here again. The room insulation is so poor that we couldn’t sleep through toilets flushing, people talking, and doors shutting next door and outside. Around 4am we could hear someone moving around and making noise, too. Breakfast was another wait, about 15 minutes, while the aunt cooked in a small kitchen.

This was a 2012 stay. I liked the price, especially with breakfast included, and the breakfast was tasty and fresh, served by a friendly Aunt. The owner was friendly too. There was free fast internet, a night market nearby, and an MRT not too far away. The room had air conditioning, a fridge, its own toilet and shower, and a comfortable bed, at least for one person. There was an elevator, laundry for a small fee, and no curfew. The room itself was very plain, though the mosaic wall was okay, and there was no artwork or much storage for clothes or anything else. A shelf or two would help. The towel was lousy, and there wasn’t a face towel, shower mat, shower towel, or even a box of Kleenex. Maybe I expected too much of a hotel room. The elevator chime carried right into the room. It also wasn’t on a central MRT line or major stop. The desk chair was uncomfortable and couldn’t be adjusted, so I had to work with my laptop literally on my lap.

We stayed in the penthouse, which was clean and nice, and the bed was really good. The help we got was amazing, and Steven was very helpful too. It was a very good stay.
