A quiet, motel-style room, and the rooms each have their own theme. Some even come with a big jacuzzi in the room.

We showed up to check in at 4pm, but check-in wasn’t until 6. They wouldn’t let us wait in the lobby, so we were told to wait out on the street. We also weren’t allowed to leave our bags, and they dumped them outside near the trash. Please don’t come early expecting otherwise. The staff showed us nothing but hate. Maybe it was because my wife is Filipina, but that’s how it felt to us. We rebooked the Marriott next door and tried to get a refund. Expedia said the manager, Mr Fang, refused because of the policy. Horrible place, what a joke. This place should be out of business.

Everything was good in my experience. I booked the biggest room available, a premier suite, and got upgraded to a private pool villa. The property was clean and spacious with everything you need. At 10k, it’s an experience, but I wouldn’t stay that long.

We barely left the room all weekend, mostly because it had so much to enjoy: a gorgeous indoor pool, sauna, outdoor pool, and jacuzzi. The room was huge, with greenery thoughtfully planted throughout, and the service was efficient. My partner booked it for our anniversary during Taiwan’s hot summer and semi-lockdown, after we’d been under lockdown for more than a month. It was a great change of scenery. The breakfast was the one small letdown. It was Mos Burger, and on the first day they gave us only one portion, which we didn’t realize until we’d eaten. We weren’t full. They gave us two portions the next morning, but we’d hoped for a nicer spread from a luxury hotel. Still, the room was incredible, and I wish we could have stayed longer than our two nights.
