Paiyueh hotel

The hotel is tucked into an alley near the corner of busy Ximending, so it can be confusing to find. It’s also almost a 10-minute walk from Ximending station. The area is maze-like, but GPS should get you there. What made the stay for me was the personal service. The receptionist greeted us whenever we came or went, and each morning would ask in person if we wanted our room cleaned. It felt like coming home after a long day of travel. The rooms were clean, too. It’s a small hotel without facilities like a spa or gym, but the in-room amenities made up for that. We had a bathtub, and the TV offered nearly 100 channels, including some R-21/pornographic ones, so take care.
