Pure Meworld Hotel

We stayed here during a typhoon, and even though we weren’t on the top floor, water dripped through the ceiling onto me while I sat on the sofa. The unfinished ceiling also seemed less like a design choice and more like they hadn’t wanted to spend the money to finish the room properly. The bathroom was old and very dirty, the worst I’ve experienced in Taiwan. I was scared to use the bathtub, and replacing the bathroom silicone shouldn’t take much skill. The bathroom floor was slippery enough to make falling easy. The sheets smelled strongly of sweat, and I’d heard someone else mention the bed didn’t smell fresh. There was also a strange step right before the room entrance. We nearly fell the first time we came in with a few suitcases. The elevator stopping at the second floor every time you go down was incredibly annoying and wasted time. And the room wouldn’t charge my phone while any lights were on. The faulty socket eventually broke my charger. This was the worst hotel experience I’ve had anywhere. Thinking about the stay still upsets me.

We spent three nights here. The room was pretty spacious, and having a subway station nearby and a supermarket right next door was handy. But the building was really noisy. There was mold on the bathroom ceiling, the tub didn't look very clean, and the mattress was uncomfortably hard.

For the price, this was a really nice hotel. It was clean and convenient.
