The bed was huge, with fresh cotton sheets that made it easy to sleep well, and the bathroom was a real highlight: strong shower pressure, a Japanese bath, an automatic wash-and-dry toilet, and a long counter with room for everything. Breakfast was delicious, with a spread that seemed to have something for everyone. After our 14-day cruise, we had two nights at San Want Residences. We were greeted warmly even though our room wasn’t ready yet, and the staff kept our bags while we went out. When we returned around 1 p.m., they were already in the room. We’ve stayed in hotels all over the world, and this one is easily among our top two. 10/10.

The room’s little Japanese tub was such a fun design, and everything was very clean. The staff were lovely and the service was brilliant. Breakfast was good, though there wasn’t as much choice as at some other five-star hotels. The location worked well, and the Wang wang mascot logo was cute.

The bathroom was one of my favorite parts, especially the large hot spring-style tub. The room was spacious, comfortable, bright, and had all the features and tech I needed. It’s my first time staying here, and I came away pleasantly surprised. The hotel is older, but it’s clearly well maintained and has a classic feel that deserves five stars. A small TV by the tub, fresh wallpaper, repairs to the little paint chips, and new flooring in place of the old carpet would make it a 10/10 for me.

We were there January 16-19. The location was good, with lots of places to eat nearby. Our room was clean, and we used the in-room spa. The water pressure was strong, and the shampoo and body wash were good quality.

I stayed six nights and was very happy with the price and service. The hotel is quiet despite being in Taipei’s busiest district, and MRT stations, food, and nightlife are all within walking distance. The place is well managed, the rooms are clean, and breakfast was delicious.
