Sotetsu Grand Fresa Taipei Ximen

We found it easy to get around, with an MRT stop right beside the hotel and lots of places within walking distance. We felt very safe in Taiwan the whole time, and the people were so welcoming. Our room in Ximen was spacious and comfortable, and the hotel was clean and well maintained. The staff were incredibly friendly, and we had everything we needed. The little toiletry items at reception, like hand wipes, mosquito stickers, and lens wipes, were a thoughtful touch. We loved our stay and would happily book again.

The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, and the location made exploring easy, right across from Ximending and within walking distance of the MRT. Even with self check-in counters, staff warmly offered help at both check-in and checkout, making everything smooth and welcoming. There were lots of complimentary items, including mouthwash, ear plugs, and vanity kits. The Level 3 laundry room was especially useful during our nearly week-long stay. This was our first trip to Taiwan, and the hotel really impressed us. I’d highly recommend it to anyone visiting.

We arrived in the morning on check-in day, and the ladies at the desk kept our luggage while we went out to see Taipei. The hotel sits right above the Ximen MRT subway line, which made getting around easy, and it’s a great spot if you want to stay in Ximending. The hotel seemed newly renovated or constructed. There were three of us in the room. I slept on a sofa bed that had been converted into a very comfortable bed, and my sisters each had a comfortable full-sized bed. The bathroom was roomy enough and included a washlet bidet. We also used the onsite washers and dryers, which worked efficiently and took electronic card payments, so no coins were needed.

Ximending was a great base, with all kinds of food and shopping, a 7-11 downstairs, and the metro right outside. I stayed here for eight nights in Taiwan, and it was easily my favorite hotel. The place was clean, bright, spacious, and had all the amenities I needed. My room had two full-size beds and enough space for four large suitcases laid flat. The beds and pillows were very comfortable. The toilet and bathroom are separate, which is handy. You can pick up forgotten essentials at reception, and there’s laundry as well as a vacuum seal machine. The cleaners were always kind and checked every day whether we wanted the room cleaned. I absolutely loved staying here and can’t recommend it enough.
