We only meant to stay one night, then liked it enough to stay for 6 days. The bed felt like sleeping on a cloud, and the room was very clean. Staff were friendly, helpful, and courteous. It’s conveniently close to MRT Taipei Main Station, and Ningxia Night Market Ningxia Night Market is within walking distance, with some of the city’s best street food to sample.
The staff are nice, and this is a standard business hotel with a convenient location near Taipei station exit 6. That works well if you’re taking the airport MRT from Taoyuan International Airport. The room had a mild musty smell even with a window, and still felt humid while the air-conditioning was running.
The room was spotless, and I loved the strong rainfall shower. Getting to the metro takes a bit of a walk, but it was still easy enough to get around from here. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend the hotel.
The City Suites Taipei Main Station Taipei Station Front Branch is clean, though both the room and especially the bathroom feel cramped. Its location is passable, but getting around Taipei from here isn’t especially convenient. I’d only choose it for a budget stay.
Beimen is about a 5-10 minute walk away, with Taipei Main Station and the airport MRT nearby too, so trains and buses are easy to reach and there’s food around. The rooms are quiet, clean, and the beds are comfortable, though they’re compact. Amenities are basic: towels and soap are provided, but no toothbrush or shaver. There aren’t fancy extras or a lobby to hang out in. It’s a practical, peaceful place to stay in Taipei if you’re after clean comfort and a handy location.
