101 Single Bar Hostel

The bar on the 1st. floor was a highlight for me, and I also enjoyed the gathering hall on the 5th. The rooms are pretty nice and clean.

There was a little noise, but it was nice.

The bed may feel too small if you’re over 178cm tall, and the bunk bed ladder is a bit slippery, so take care climbing it. There are no bed curtains, the lockers don’t come with keys, and the bathroom could be cleaner. It’s about a 15-minute walk from Liuzhangli MRT Station. The place is on the second floor with no elevator, and the stairs feel quite shaky, so watch out if you have luggage. There’s Wi-Fi but no water dispenser.

The room was dusty enough to notice under the lights. Also, there seems to be just one long staircase down from the room, with no second escape route, no emergency exit signs, and no escape route map. I wonder if that meets fire safety regulations. The location is excellent, very close to the riverside street at night. If you’re bothered by smoke, though, avoid the first-floor bar. Lots of guests smoke there, and noise can carry up to the rooms late at night.
