Noble Hotel

I wouldn’t call this a 3-star hotel, more like a Motel 6. It’s dated and small, and the rooms weren’t clean. There was a constant sewer and mold smell. The location wasn’t great either, since it’s far from the MRT station.

I stayed for two weeks and was very pleased. The hotel isn’t fancy, but it’s a decent, reasonably priced place with friendly service. The smallest rooms felt too cramped to me, though larger ones are available. The in-room Wi-Fi was strong and dependable, much better than what I’ve had at an average hotel. I also enjoyed having a hot tub in the room.

The free breakfast was nice, mostly Chinese food, though there was toast, cereal, and an egg station where they’d fry eggs, bacon, and ham. Some front desk staff don’t speak English, so getting help may be tricky depending on when you need it. The thermostat and washlet instructions weren’t available in English either. When I asked for English instructions because I can’t read Chinese, they said there weren’t any and that I should be able to figure it out. That wasn’t very helpful. My room was clean, tidy, and fairly spacious, with a double bed and a single. But the shower was cramped enough that I kept bumping into things, and the water took a couple of minutes to heat up. The mattress was really, really, really firm. I usually like a firm bed, but this was too much even for me. Wi-Fi was very slow and unreliable. I couldn’t keep a stable VPN connection, so I had to tether my phone when I needed VPN for work. It wasn’t a bad stay, but since I booked last minute and didn’t have a choice, I’d probably pick somewhere else if I could.

The rooms were great, and breakfast was good. It’s close to the baseball stadium and metro, so getting around was easy.
