The front desk staff were kind, and that really made the stay pleasant. It’s a central, handy base for seeing Taipei. The rooms need a proper clean and an upgrade, though, since they weren’t very clean.

I’m writing this so other guests, especially older people, don’t get hurt. My parents slipped in the bathtub and hit their heads and shoulders after the non-slip mat was removed during housekeeping. We had put the mat in place on the first day, but it stayed there only until the fifth day, and my parents didn’t realize it had been taken away. It was awful to bring them out for a good time and have them injured because of how housekeeping handled this. This was my second stay, a seven-day booking, and this time we had a bathtub. The tub itself was very slippery even with the mat. I told the front desk right away, and they responded promptly, but their explanation was that housekeeping removes the mat whenever they clean. That doesn’t seem reasonable. Are guests supposed to put it back every time they return? Surely it should only be removed when a new guest checks in.

The room was comfortable and good. It’s close to Ximending and Ximen Metro Station. The elevator can be a little confusing if it’s your first time.

Stayed five days. The location and service were nice, and the room was clean. Breakfast was fine, though it didn’t change much.
