The Gaia Hotel Taipei

We booked a private room at Gaia hotel. It was clean, quiet and well equipped, though bathrobes would have been nice. Towels were fine instead. After soaking, we had the lunch set at the restaurant. Tracy, our waitress, was fantastic and gave us helpful recommendations. Two lunch sets were enough to share between three of us. Very good experience overall. 👍

The semi-buffet breakfast was good, especially the tender beef cooked in red wine, and there’s a water dispenser in the room with different temperature options. We were also able to check in early and rest. When staff saw us carrying luggage uphill, they quickly drove over to pick us up and take us to the hotel lobby. The hotel is a few minutes from the main street, so taking the shuttle is a better option when you have bags.

Our honeymoon became especially memorable thanks to the kindness of the staff, including Director Cain and manager Jack. We accidentally left an important bag in our taxi, and the team worked hard to reach the taxi company and even called the police station to get hold of the driver and arrange its return. We were amazed by the care and effort they showed when we needed help, and won’t forget it. The amenities were great too: an open-air sulfur onsen, a sauna, a private ryokan-style bath in our room, and complimentary snacks and drinks that were restocked daily, among other things. We’re very grateful and would happily come back. Highly recommend!

At Qi Yan No.1, the food was delicious and thoughtfully prepared. Tina gave outstanding service, with a professional, attentive and careful approach that made the meal smooth and enjoyable. Juli, Erna and Pin were just as friendly and efficient, and the team worked together beautifully. They’re a real credit to the hotel and set a high standard for service.
