Warm Life Hotel

The damp, musty smell was there everywhere, from the reception and hallways to the rooms and elevator. The elevator was so old and made such strange noises as it moved that I felt like it could drop at any moment. It made me more nervous than a roller coaster. The rooms were terribly dirty and smelled bad. The carpet and sofa looked as if they hadn’t been cleaned in years, and the tap was broken and fell down whenever I used it. My friend had a nightmare at 6:40 a.m. about a female ghost attacking her with iron balls and kicking her out of her parents’ room. We’d only greeted each other at 6:30. I know most people don’t believe in ghosts, but I also heard a strange sound that woke me at 6:30. It sounded like knocking beneath the air conditioner or on the wall beside it. We’d paid for three nights, but checked out right after that awful nightmare. The grandfather managing the hotel smiled in a friendly way and didn’t ask anything, though he’d asked us friendly questions when we checked in. It made me think we weren’t the only guests leaving as quickly as possible, and that this was a normal occurrence. This was the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had, even worse than cheap dormitories in Thailand’s night markets. I don’t think it deserves to be called a hotel or motel. It felt like the landlord was trying to make money from empty rooms with very old facilities without caring about guests’ experience, using hotel apps’ advertising to attract customers and caring about nothing else. Don’t book here if you don’t want to waste money on a terrible experience. Hotel apps should remove it from their listings. Thanks for reading my account, and I hope you have a good trip.
