The owner is friendly and full of stories, whether about local art, environmental protection, or the stories behind particular drinks. This is a quirky little coffee shop in a historic building, right across from a high school. Ask about “coffee in love” if you want a special, heartwarming treat.

The highlight of our two nights was going stargazing with the owner, Xiao Li. He guided us around the night sky, and we saw the Milky Way and shooting stars for the first time. With the great weather, it became the most unforgettable memory of our trip to Taitung. Xiao Li and his mother were incredibly welcoming and kind. The room was larger than I expected, with warm colors, a comfortable bed and pillows, and excellent soundproofing. The bathroom was clean and tidy, and the water dispenser and fridge in the shared area were handy. We drove, and parking was quite convenient. I forgot to take pictures of the room 😭. I’ll definitely stay here again next time I’m in Taitung. Looking forward to seeing you again! 👍

The bed was really comfortable, and the owner was kind and thoughtful about what runners need. I was in Taitung for a triathlon, and the room is 3 kilometers from Huoshui Lake. They let me keep my bike in the room and come back in time for a shower. Five stars! 👍🏻

I was unhappy with the double standards from the owner, and the way we were treated felt hostile from the moment we arrived, even though we had paid. They didn’t take our temperatures when we came in and kept us waiting outside for a long time. Downstairs, a group of around eight guests and helpers had been eating fried chicken the night before. When we went upstairs, people were chatting, lying in the rest area, or sitting in chairs and giving us cold looks. The owner said they were guests and helpers. Each time I used the stairs, I had to pass them and walk around their shoes, and it made me feel like I was bothering them. If awkward situations make you uncomfortable, I wouldn’t stay here. The value for the price is really low. I don’t understand the high ratings and wonder if they’re fabricated. The bedside table wasn’t dusty or dirty, but the electrical wires were exposed, like they’d run their own cables. The reviews mention a special breakfast, but we got a flat burger and ordinary black tea. The owner insisted we take it to our room to eat.
