Nice rooms, and the beds are really comfortable.

The beds are comfortable, and the atmosphere is nice.
We checked in today as a group of five, and things seemed fine at first. Then, in the middle of the night, we were woken up and had to open the door to fetch our things because the landlady had left all the amenities in the guest room on the first floor. It was a terrible experience. Essential items shouldn't be left there.
The room is spacious and close to Taitung Station. There are a lot of rules, so read them carefully and follow them. Parking nearby is suitable, and the area is nice for a relaxed walk. Beinan Site is one nearby attraction, and Taitung City is about a 10-15 minute bike ride away. The bathroom has no separate shower area, so spray gets everywhere. Don't leave clothes or towels in there, because the floor gets slippery. The sofa is uncomfortable, and the springs inside one section may be close to breaking. The cleaning staff should check it. When showering, it's recommended to wait a few minutes after one shower before continuing. Our check-in was supposed to be at 4 PM, and the guesthouse asked us to use LINE rather than call because he might be busy and miss messages. I started messaging at 3:54 PM. He replied briefly, then went quiet. I got no response until 4:03 PM, and called his mobile at 4:05 PM. He opened the door after a short wait and said the strong winds and dust in Taitung meant he had to mop the floor and wait for it to dry before letting us in. I couldn't understand why he hadn't sent a quick message to explain that earlier. I asked him in person why he hadn't answered messages he'd read. I sent three between 3:55 and 4:05 PM, and he read all of them without replying. He said, "Taitung's internet is slow, and messages might get missed," which left me completely confused. If the check-in time is 4 PM, the cleaning and preparations should be done by then. First it was wind and dust, then it was the internet. It sounded like a string of excuses. I asked why he hadn't set our time for 4:05 or 4:10 if he was going to be late, but he just repeated them. As a guesthouse owner working in Taitung, constantly saying "Taitung this and that" to avoid responsibility made me feel he was impatient with the place, though that's another story. When I arrived at 3:50 PM, I saw the cleaning staff still tidying the second-floor balcony. The cleaning was delayed, which meant we couldn't check in at 4 PM. That's the whole thing. He should have arranged the cleaning so guests could get in on time instead of making excuses. Even when I had the key and was about to go to my room, he said, "Why am I bothering this and that?" Hearing the cleaning staff repeat the same excuses over and over was exhausting. I followed all the guesthouse's rules, but still had this unpleasant experience.
I like the bold, vibrant colors. The room had everything we needed, and the sheets and bedspreads were very clean. The price was reasonable too.
