The staff are friendly, though they aren’t available around the clock since this is a homestay, not a hotel. Each room has its own decor, which gives the place a distinctive feel. There’s a small balcony for smoking or sitting together, and the water pressure was steady. Soft towels were provided, while the bed and air-conditioning were okay. Entry is with a traditional key. It’s near the seaside, with a great sea view. There were sounds from creatures outside, maybe birds, and sometimes from the bathroom or corridor. It wasn’t completely quiet. My wife is sleeping fine while I write this at 4:30 am, so the noise doesn’t bother everyone.

We drove down the east coast from Taipei and were greeted warmly when we arrived. The family room was spacious, and the place was clean. Breakfast was generous and a great start before heading to Kenting. A cozy, clean place to stay.

The staff were so polite and kind that they made us feel at home. The price felt a little high, and not every room has a bathtub where you can bathe while looking out at the sea.

I felt comfortable in the lovely room, and the lobby was clean and welcoming. The staff were friendly, too. It’s not far from the city center, and for my next trip to Tomioka I’ll choose this seaside guesthouse first. Highly recommend it!
