Guide Hotel Taoyuan Fuxing

We had the quadruple room. It was big, though it smelled a bit, and the air conditioning worked. The shower heater worked too, but there was no bidet. The hotel is kind of hard to find and is on the 9th floor. Self check-in was a little difficult because the machine wouldn’t accept the booking ID as instructed, so we had to wait for staff to help. For the price, it was okay.

Two elderly people booked two months ahead but were put in a room beside the construction site, and couldn’t change rooms for a quiet stay. Update: the hotel responded quickly and arranged something for them. Thanks.

The staff were kind and attentive, and the location near the city is good. The hotel is pretty mediocre otherwise. Check-in is done at a machine, and I had trouble paying by card, so bring cash if you aren’t sure your card will work in Taiwan. The sheets and bathroom weren’t very clean. I hope they improve that.

Dust on the chairs, tables, and pretty much everywhere, plus strands of the previous guest’s hair still on the floor. The room is clearly old, with lots of stains on the walls and ceiling. When I went into the bathroom, it was still very wet and smelled strongly fishy. It’s a cheap hotel, but I wouldn’t recommend it or return.
