Hotel Lounge

The false fire alarm after 10 PM woke us up. It was apparently triggered by bathroom steam, something that seems to happen often. The hotel should know about this and fix the alarm's placement. Having false alarms in the middle of the night seems ridiculous. We also felt let down by the breakfast arrangement. Breakfast was included, and we'd told staff we'd check out at 7 AM. At first they said they'd arrange a takeaway meal, but later that night they called to say they couldn't provide one, even though something simple like bread and fruit could have been prepared ahead. The vouchers also left a bad impression. We got a sweets voucher and a 100NT discount voucher for the restaurant on the 6th floor when we returned around 7 PM, but the sweets voucher had already expired, despite staff knowing we were out and coming back late. After checkout the next day, we returned around 2 PM and asked to use the 100NT voucher. They said it was valid only during our official stay, from 3 PM to 11 AM, which made us question how sincere the offer was. At least the location is convenient, within walking distance of the train station, and they let us store our bags when we arrived early. Those were helpful touches, but the other issues left us disappointed. I hope management addresses them.
