Elan Boutique Motel

The facilities are old and poorly maintained. It isn’t worth what they charge.

The room was large, but cold and very damp, with a strong musty smell. Even with the air conditioning off, it felt cold, and the bed was damp and chilly. All the equipment was old. There were no outlets by the bedside tables, and only one usable outlet in the whole room.

The rooms are long and spacious, which makes it easy to remember this place. The decor has a vintage look, and cleanliness was average. Still, all that space made it feel relaxing and enjoyable. A massage, the night market, or a bath and a date are all good options when visiting Yilan.

The bathing area was nearly bigger than the rooms, almost open-air, though a rain shelter kept it private and protected from the weather, with adequate light. The landscaping plants looked rather unappealing, and it seems the garden lights are no longer maintained. That’s a shame, since they could have looked incredibly beautiful. My friend booked this hotel for our rare trip to Yilan. It’s noticeably old, but reasonably priced, with a very spacious, comfortable interior, cool air conditioning, and strong ventilation.
