We had such a good stay, especially the evening activity where we guessed lantern riddles. Our attendant was lively and friendly, and I loved being able to visit the park at night. The place gave me the feeling of stepping back in time. I’d definitely come back.

The room blended modern touches with local culture nicely. I’ve stayed at lakeshore hotels before, so I had a sense of the service and quality to expect. The elevator could use an upgrade, and the walk back felt a little unsettling, with brighter walkways needed. Still, I’d return with my grandma.

The theater show was especially interesting. It brought Wenchang Jun and Journey to the West into a story about empathy, compassion, and courage. A memorable way to learn about Taiwan’s traditional culture.

Friendly staff, and plenty of spots to wander or relax. There’s a kids’ playroom, a cafe with board games, and karaoke, plus a nice breakfast buffet with vegetarian options. Our small suite was laid out well, with a long couch and a fridge stocked with complimentary drinks and snacks. The four bunk beds were neatly designed, each with a reading light, charging socket, and little wall shelf for a phone or glasses. The shower had good water pressure. Great for a family.

The traditional Taiwanese-style building gives this Yilan stay a distinctive, calming feel. Such a beautiful place to stay.
