I visit Xiaoliuqiu almost every month and don’t spend much time in my room, so I just want somewhere simple and clean. This was my second stay here. I booked a double room for Saturday on a booking platform for $1800, under $1000 per person, which made me pretty happy. For the average price and quality of accommodation in Xiaoliuqiu, I’m very satisfied. The room is a one-bedroom apartment with a living room, and the bathroom has separate shower and toilet areas. There are power outlets all over the room, XD. The common area looks a bit messy, with weeds and bugs, and the room had a slight musty smell, some mildew on the wall, and a weak signal. Given what I paid, I can accept those things. If you want pretty photos of the accommodation, I wouldn’t recommend it. But for good value, I highly recommend it. I’m not too worried about the location since it’s close to everything.

The place is very quiet, so it could work well if you’re sensitive to noise. Motorcycle parking is conveniently across from the accommodation, and it looks clean, though the common areas are overgrown with weeds and could use weeding. The shared water dispenser is handy, but the front desk is often unattended, so call the owner if you run into a problem. I booked two months ahead, and the double room cost 1600. There were two bath towels but no spare toothbrushes. I did find small to medium light-colored cockroaches in the bathroom.

The room was clean and comfortable, with a living room and bathroom, and the bed and pillows suited us perfectly. We paid 1839 yuan for a double room on March 19, 2022, and it was a great stay for the price. The bathroom water flow went up and down regularly, probably because of the pump, but it never got too low. There’s an all-you-can-eat charcoal barbecue nearby. You can hear karaoke, though it isn’t loud or bothersome. The owner said he’d stay here again. A fresh coat of paint on the exterior would make the place even prettier.

The room was spacious, with the sleeping area separate from the living area, and the wooden floor felt really comfortable. The surroundings were quiet, and the facilities were clean and tidy. The hospitality was friendly. I’d definitely stay here again on my next visit to Xiaoliuqiu.
