There isn't much else to see, but if lighthouses are your thing, this one feels quaint and peaceful.

We had a big group and struggled to find somewhere to stay on Xiaoliuqiu. The places we checked that offered entire buildings were either really expensive or already full. A friend eventually found this one, and it cost much less than I expected. I was hoping there wouldn't be any fish or shrimp, since otherwise there might not be rooms left. At check-in, the counter staff were warm and chatted with us, which made a great first impression. The room itself was simple, a big space split over two levels with seven bunk beds. It got a bit warm because the air conditioning wasn't very cold, though there were three electric fans to help circulate the air and cool it down when we went out. The bathroom had two toilets, two showers, and two sinks, so two friends could get ready at once without waiting in line. Having a 7-Eleven downstairs was a big plus for late-night snacks or drinks. During the day, there were fried dough twists across the street, with shaved ice and turtle-shaped pastries on the other side. The place has some shortcomings, but the staff were so friendly, chatting and laughing with us, that I'm still giving it five stars. Highly recommend!

It was my first visit to Xiaoliuqiu, and Bai Deng Lou made me want to return. The staff were very friendly and kept an eye on the ferry schedules and weather while we were caught in a typhoon, which was nerve-wracking. The room was clean and cozy, with strong air conditioning, and the location was great with a 7-Eleven downstairs. I'd stay here again next time.
