The owner makes a delicious, nicely prepared breakfast, and the hostel’s decor and service give it a home-like feel. Our family enjoyed staying here and hope to come back. I’d highly recommend it to anyone visiting Hualien.

We could have happily stayed another time, but our schedule was packed. The couple running the place were friendly and courteous, and even let us leave our backpacks there the day after checkout. It’s only a few minutes from Taroko National Park train station, with a roomy front yard where we could park our scooter or car. They also pointed us toward places to eat nearby. For the price and the stay, we’d choose it again.

We spent two nights here while visiting Taroko National Park, and it made a great base. The park entrance and the cliffs are about a 10-minute drive away. Our host was so helpful and warm, giving us rides to the station, cooking delicious breakfasts, and sharing her homemade cookies. We loved staying here.

The rooms are simple, but comfortable and really clean, and the whole place feels relaxed and cozy. It’s conveniently close to the entrance to Taroko park. Breakfast was freshly made and delicious. The owners were lovely, sharing lots of information about visiting Hualian and Taroko park and taking us to the bicycle rental place and Xincheng station whenever we needed. I’d come back next time.
