Balawua House

The owner told me the guesthouse had been rented out for the last three years because of personal circumstances, but he'd recently returned, so I quickly arranged a Yilan visit with friends and a chance to see an old friend :D. He was just as enthusiastic and passionate as before. The guesthouse has been renovated to feel even cozier, and the rooms now have bars. In the morning, you can look out at the beautiful Yilan countryside. There was plenty of space for our nine adults and five children. We spent the evening drinking beer and chatting in the restaurant, and it was truly wonderful!!

I was excited to stay at Balayu now that it's back with the original owner after being run by someone else for a while. With two young kids along, we needed a kitchen and plenty of room. The big kitchen had all the tableware we needed, while the kids could run around in the living room and the adults cooked. We ate dinner on the balcony, watching the sunset in the gentle breeze. It made the trip much more enjoyable.

The surroundings were quiet, and the children got to experience the beautiful countryside for the first time. The owner was enthusiastic and friendly, introducing us to local attractions and food. Our large bed was spotless, and you could see how carefully the owner looked after the room. We'll definitely return.

The big living room, dining room, and kitchen make this a good place for a large group or for renting the whole house. The air conditioning is new and cool, so heat wasn't a concern. But cleanliness needs work: there was dust everywhere and cobwebs in several places. It was inconvenient not having trash cans in the rooms, and the refrigerator was cluttered.
