The hotel was out of the way from the activities we planned for the kids, but we'd definitely return. The public hot springs were well maintained, and the kids had fun in the heated outdoor pool. Our room also had a huge tub with hot spring water. After a lacklustre stay at one of the better-known hotel chains in Taichung, we were disappointed with hotels and regretted not choosing homestays. Just Sleep changed our minds. The service was top notch, and the staff went out of their way to help. When I asked for train schedules, reception printed them and explained the differences between trains and timings. At the other hotel, I was told to find out for myself at Taichung train station. Breakfast had local delights, and staff took time to explain the day's specials. They also provided tea and supper. Our favourite by far was the thick kumquat juice, which was really nice in the cold yilan weather. It was a pleasant stay.

The hot spring water and tub in every room were the best part of our stay. The only downside was that it felt a little cramped for four of us, two adults and two children. In the evening, the lobby had free-flow tea and snacks, a nice place to unwind and plan the next day's programme. There are also a couple of watching machines on the ground floor. We enjoyed staying here.

The in-room tub had natural spring water flowing straight into it, which made for a really relaxing soak. The room was clean, and I thought the hotel was good value for money. I'd definitely recommend it to travellers. At check-in, Juli was exceptionally friendly. She patiently answered all our questions and gave us plenty of food and sightseeing tips, even drawing the best routes on a map. Jimmy led the complimentary cookie-making class and was cheerful and friendly. The class runs daily, has no limit on participants per room, and he also suggested places and restaurants to visit around Jiaoxi/Yilan. I loved the smell of the black tea cookies. 10/10 recommended!

The rooms are a bit small, but still okay. It's close to lots of restaurants and massage parlors, and the service was good and polite. I knew the hotel was good, but it still exceeded my expectations. Amazing experience, and yes, I'd go again.

We just took part in a cookie-making workshop. Jimmy was friendly and professional, and he's a real asset to the hotel. I hope he gets a pay raise. Thank you, Jimmy!
