Our room was big, but the staff weren't communicating well even though I speak Mandarin. The fridge didn't work, so none of our food or drinks stayed cold. On one night there was no hot water. After trying for 15 minutes, I contacted staff and was told at midnight to wait 30 minutes. It still wasn't working 45 minutes after that, so we went to bed without showers. The room wasn't cleaned the following day either. We paid for an extra night with early check-in but got no receipt, and the charge was much higher. I asked Agoda for a partial refund because services weren't working, but the hotel didn't reply to that request either. When we arrived, there was mould and old milk and food in the fridge. I also had $500 AUD disappear from my suitcase at this or another hotel. I strongly suspect this one, since it seemed to be run very unprofessionally. I would never stay here again.

There was dust along the wall corners, and the standing fan was very dusty too. The hangers were old, bent and some were rusty. We were on level 8 beside the elevator, which anyone could access from the ground floor. That felt frightening, especially since the room only had a common doorknob lock. Taiwan is generally safe, but I still felt really nervous about the lack of elevator security. The room itself was very old, dirty and mouldy. The counter lady said the building was at least 20++ years old. The fridge didn't work, and there was old food inside that could have been there for who knows how long. The room amenities were mediocre. When we first walked in, there was also an uneasy feeling, like there might have been some other “company” in there.

Never thought I'd leave a review, but this was easily the worst hotel I've stayed in. It looked nothing like the pictures, just dark, dirty and old. Don't stay here.
