Ita Thao is a great location, and the place was quiet and comfortable. The hosts were friendly and happy to answer questions about what to see and do nearby.

The location puts you right in the middle of Ita Thao’s shopping district and night market. It’s good value if you’re planning to spend more time in Ita Tho than ShuiShe. We booked a double queens room, which was clean and comfortably spacious. The manager and staff were approachable and friendly. Breakfast was tasty and filling, with a great assortment to wake up to.

The breakfast was lovely, both the way the set was arranged and how it tasted. Our room was clean and cozy, everything cute and automatic-working, and we slept so well. The owners were so kind. They don’t speak English, but used an app to translate. Before our stay I messaged to confirm the reservation, and I was really impressed by their reply: “With translation, we have no national boundaries 😁”. I liked that so much. They welcomed us sincerely when we arrived. If I get the chance to visit Sun Moon Lake again, I’ll come back. ❤️🙏🏻

A lovely surprise was the complimentary breakfast on the rooftop, with a view of the lake. The front desk staff were warm, attentive, and professional. Downstairs there’s a lively commercial street, and Yidashao Pier is about 200 meters away. A 7-Eleven, restaurants, bubble tea shops, and cafés are all within 100 meters. The location, elegant surroundings, and sense of safety made the hotel easy to recommend. Room 70? on the top floor had huge floor-to-ceiling windows on three sides. Open the curtains and Sun Moon Lake seems to stretch endlessly. At night, we stood by the window with freshly ground Sun Moon Lake coffee and enjoyed the lake view. The boutique hotel has unique facilities and elegant design throughout. Soaking in the hot spring bathtub with a glass of red wine felt indulgent, and the whole experience was a treat for the eyes, senses, and taste. The large, incredibly soft bed was especially memorable.
