Sun Moon Lake OneLife Hostel

David is the best part of this hostel. He doesn't feel like a businessman, more like a brother, and he really looks after guests. When a bus driver sent me the wrong way on my first day, he came to pick me up. After I checked in, he took me to the night market, which was such a great experience I won't forget it. We shared traditional Taiwanese food the next morning, then dinner at wuchi market that night. He was always willing to share and help make guests comfortable. On my third day I borrowed his bike for free and broke it, but he just told me it was okay and not to worry. That was so kind. My room was nice and quiet, and the price was very cheap. He'd only started the business a month earlier. The location worked fine too: buses to sun moon lake take only 5-7 minutes. I stayed two days and thought the hostel was perfect. If I visit sun moon lake again, I'll stay here. Thanks for everything, david!

Restaurants and convenience stores are within walking distance, and David even lets guests use his bikes. He came to meet me from the bus stop with his adorable Shiba Inu, Ha-Bao. David is one of the kindest people I've met in Taiwan, and I can't say enough about his hospitality. I wish him and Ha-Bao all the best.

Friendly people, a comfortable stay, and a clean place.

The hostel was great value, with stable Wi-Fi and a handy location near the city center and transport. I found the staff friendly and helpful, and they gave me useful travel tips and helped put together a fantastic itinerary. The beds were cozy, everything was clean, and the relaxed common room made it easy to meet other travelers. I'd definitely return and recommend it to backpackers.
