Ahadi Lodge

The hotel itself is decent, but the guards' customer service toward Tanzanians is horrible, especially if they don't see a car arriving. On the morning of 22nd July 2025, a guard who looked to be in his late 40s or 50s refused to let me into the reception area. I ended up booking another hotel.

The garden was beautifully maintained, and the pool was cleaned every morning. We enjoyed the food a lot, though breakfast options were fairly limited. Our room was on the small side with simple furnishings, as expected, but it was always clean and the mosquito net over the bed had no holes. We stayed four nights because we arrived earlier than planned, and that gave us a lovely chance to acclimatize. Ahadi Lodge became our favorite place to stay on the whole trip, and a wonderful starting point. During the day most people were out on safari, so we had the accommodation to ourselves. The staff were consistently friendly and quiet, never loud. There's a church and school nearby, so we heard lots of singing during the day. We liked it and weren't bothered. We'd definitely return!

The service was good, and the place was generally okay. I would've liked a hand towel and a better shower setup. Without a partition, the shower leaves the whole bathroom floor wet, and there's no way around it.

The restaurant was very good, and the staff were lovely. The lodge itself was pleasant, though it could use a little more light and more privacy in the bathroom. It's a quiet, beautiful place.
