Elanacha Hotel

The rooms were spacious and clean, and the hotel was just average for me. The elevator felt so tiny that I could hardly breathe, even with only two of us inside. Then the power box blew up, smoke spread everywhere, and the whole hotel lost power.

The location is a little beyond central Arusha, though that can be a plus. From the top floor you get a great view of the area, and there’s a lovely garden. The hotel and room were both clean and modern, and the room had everything I needed for the price. Staff were friendly and helpful. The owner is often around, very kind, and clearly cares about guests’ well-being. I had a very good stay.

The hot-water breakfasts are delicious, and the staff are charming and helpful. The hotel is clean and good.

The staff are welcoming, and the hotel is clean, pleasant, and fairly priced. There’s hot water and WiFi, though it’s slow. The meals could be better: Tanzania has plenty of fruit, but they serve watermelon every day, and the fruit salad had bitter pineapple. There were no bananas, avocados, papayas, or oranges, even though those are readily available. They can do better.
