Glorious Arusha Backpackers - Hostel

The affordable room and included breakfast were the main positives for me, but the downsides outweighed them. Wi-Fi was poor, and breakfast was very basic. The shower area also lacked privacy, since a tall person could look into the room. I'm concerned that the hostel lets people sell safari tours from its office, specifically Mr. Melkzedek. I found those tours unsafe and unreliable. Budget travelers, please get an official payment receipt showing the tour operator's name. Avoid 3Wonders Expedition and 1Wonder Expedition. The vehicle they provided was unsafe!

For the price, I was very happy with the facilities. The location was convenient, breakfast came with the stay, and both the hot shower and Wi-Fi worked reliably.

More of a place for college students who just need somewhere to rest, with more dormitory rooms. There is a bar, though.

The Wi-Fi wasn't good. I'm also very concerned about the safari sellers allowed to operate at this hostel. We booked through one and ended up with an unsafe, unreliable trip. The vehicle broke down every day and needed pushing and towing, and at one point another car crashed into it to get it started. We lost hours of safari time and were put at real risk. Don't book a safari through the salespeople here.
