The hotel is a little outside the city, which I liked, and the staff were friendly. But things moved slowly. We’d booked two nights, one at the start of our trip and another for the last day, yet they’d forgotten the second booking when we arrived at 17:00. They asked us to wait in the lobby while they prepared a room, without explaining what was happening or offering a drink. We sat there alone for more than 30 minutes, unsure what was going on. The room was reasonably clean, though the towels were very worn. We had to remind the staff a couple of times about the food we ordered, and breakfast was tasty but also took a while. There were regular power cuts even though they had generators. We had to ask them to switch one on, and without a reminder it wouldn’t happen. Packing in the dark was really uncomfortable. I’d call it OK if you don’t have other options.

The place is quiet and green, surrounded by nature, and I preferred the location to being in the city. Google Maps won’t get you there, though, so it’s better to ask your driver to call the guesthouse for directions. I stayed in the four-bed common room before my safari, then came back and had a lovely single room afterward. It’s a small, well-kept guesthouse with just a few rooms, clean throughout, and thoughtful design touches. It felt more like a home away from home than a hostel. The shared room seems ideal for friends traveling together or solo travelers. Bathrooms were clean and the water pressure was OK. The people were the best part. Nam is an angel, always ready to help with a smile, and a great cook. Her French fries were the best I’d had in the past year! Isak knows a lot and is involved in improving the experience. I still miss that nice lobby and hope to come back.

Breakfast was the standout for me. The staff made it fresh, with fruit, French toast, bread, potatoes and more. The rooms and bathroom were clean, and the place felt cozy and well cared for. The beds had really comfortable mattresses. There was good shower pressure, and hot water was available after switching on the boiler. I’d love to stay here again.

Nam is charming and peaceful, and her cooking leaves a lasting impression. The place is quiet, with a lovely view of Meru. The Wi-Fi worked well and the shower was hot. It’s a little outside downtown Arusha.

We felt at home during our three nights here. Nam was so welcoming and helped with every question we had. The beds were comfortable, everything was clean, and breakfast was really tasty. A lovely place made with love, totally recommend it! 👍❤️
