Osotwa Maasai Hostel

We liked the quiet, since we were the only guests, though that might not suit other solo travelers. The place is a bit out of the way, but you can still get a Bolt taxi there. The price we got on booking was good. The bedrooms are clean and modern, with comfortable beds, full mosquito nets, hot water, and a clean bathroom. The Wi-Fi was reliable. Peter, the owner, was responsive and helpful. The main downside was the hosts' indifferent manner. They did help and weren't rude, but they weren't as friendly or helpful as earlier reviews had led us to expect. They also quoted prices that seemed too high for dinner prep and laundry. The owner knows about this and said he'd address it. The bathroom is another small drawback: it's quite small and wet-room style, so showering gets the toilet and whole floor wet, though the shower is hot. Still a recommended stay in Arusha.

We've returned here several times during our holiday, and the hosts have always been friendly. It felt like home. The beds are large and comfortable, and they provide mosquito nets, hot water, and all the necessary things. Thanks so much for the hospitality!

A very cozy place, and Judith and Angel were such kind hosts. I enjoyed breakfast and the add-on dinner was super yum. The house is spacious, and you can feel the real Maasai hospitality!!!!!!

The area is a little away from the centre, but feels safe and has a few nice places to eat. Everything was clean and nice. Judith was an extraordinarily friendly, accommodating host who helped me whenever I needed it.
