The reception was great, the room and facilities were clean, and room service and the free car wash were great. There was also a fantastic little pool. Still, the place had a strange vibe. We were one of five couples staying there, and the other couples were clearly not in relationships. They were all cross cultural, which I have no problem with, but it felt a bit odd.

The rooms are decent, the staff friendly, and the neighborhood fairly quiet. There's free room service, plus free breakfast brought to your room or served in a very nice outdoor makuti gazebo. The local food is good too, especially the fish and fries. Rooms and bathrooms are clean. There are problems with leaking bathroom pipes, broken heaters, and showerheads that are close to useless. Keep track of your bills, since they use a basic handwritten system and mistakes can happen. Check the food prices when ordering room service and ask for your change, because staff tend to take advantage, especially of foreigners. For peace and quiet, choose a ground floor room. The top floor is unofficially used for clandestine purposes because it's private, and can get noisy, with the occasional brawl involving working girls. Satellite TV is stuck on the Naija channel most of the time, except when there's a major soccer match. It also seems to be a hideaway for married, often elderly men who bring young, often working girls for the night.

Daisy Comfort Home has air conditioning and desks in all guest rooms, which also include a seating area, flat-screen satellite TV, and a private bathroom with slippers and a hot tub.
