The room was neat and clean, and the AC worked perfectly, but the stay wasn’t so good in terms of facilities. There was no food or drinking water offered through room service. The washroom was average, with no shower point installed, just a direct pipe for bathing. I paid 220,000/- Tanzanian shelling for two nights without food or drinking water, which I thought was very expensive.

The room was clean and smelled fresh, and the free WiFi was a nice extra. I liked the photos on the walls too. It's affordable for a single room and not far from either the city centre or port. The toilet seat was broken and the shower head looked rusty, though. Still, a solid 4.5/5 and recommended.

The staff were friendly, and there's a free basic breakfast included in the room price. It's also a good spot for getting to the harbor or Kariakoo on foot. There are rooms at different prices, so there's a decent range to choose from.

Econo lodge serves breakfast on the rooftop, which was brilliant. There's a restaurant with a wide choice of delicious food less than a minute away, and the hotel is very close to the ferry and museum. The location felt very safe, and the staff were friendly.

The power went out, and the generator doesn't cover the AC, so I was paying 80,000 to sleep in a hot room. The hallway light also shines into the room at night. On top of that, there's a stink of Rungu everywhere, and most of the front desk staff have a horrible attitude, especially the woman who works at night. This is an old hotel pretending to be a nice one. Stay somewhere else.
